About Matt

Matt Robb MS, LPC, CCSP, founded Grit Counseling with a simple vision: to walk alongside individuals and families through every season of life — the hard moments, the healing, and the growth in between. He believes therapy should feel personal, genuine, and accessible, which is why his practice is built around flexibility, authenticity, and meaningful connection.

Matt earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University and combines evidence-based treatment approaches with real-life understanding and relatability. With thousands of hours of clinical experience, he has worked with adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of challenges.

Known for his warm and down-to-earth personality, Matt quickly builds authentic relationships with his clients. He takes a holistic approach to counseling, focusing not just on the presenting issue, but on the whole person — their story, relationships, strengths, and environment.

His counseling style blends motivational and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients better understand the “why” behind their thoughts and behaviors while developing practical tools for lasting change. Matt is passionate about helping people discover strengths they may not even realize they have.

His areas of expertise include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, phobias, screen addiction/digital health, bullying, parenting, and men’s issues.

Outside of the therapy office, Matt is a husband, father, and friend who deeply values family, faith, and community — experiences that continue to shape the compassion and perspective he brings to his work every day.
